Can I opt out of Etsy Offsite Ads?
Only if your trailing 12-month Etsy sales are under $10,000, and only after your first 30 days on Etsy. At or above $10,000 in trailing sales, participation is mandatory on every listing.
When does the fee actually apply?
Only when a buyer clicks an Offsite Ad for your listing and then buys within the following 30 days. Sales from Etsy search, social or direct traffic never carry this fee.
Is Offsite Ads worth it?
Compare the two profit rows above. If the ad-driven sale is one you would not have made otherwise, keeping the fee is usually worth it. If it is simply capturing a sale that would have happened anyway, the fee is a pure cost.
